The Piedmont Youth Symphony is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was established in 2023 in the effort to offer an inclusive and diverse organization with exceptional music education and performances. As a renaissance of the former Fauquier Youth Orchestra, we endeavor to reach more youth by expanding the local radius of awareness, as well as opening the doors for winds, brass, and percussion instrumentalists.
The PYSO repertoire programming consists of varying different genres to expose the students to a multitude of styles including classical, contemporary, folk, and rock. Every concert has a different theme; from film scores, to royalty songs, to winter titled pieces, barn tunes, and more!
Tuition is $150 per semester, and there no auditions required to join at this time. Students with 2 years of note-reading experience are welcomed!
