Dr. Tara Planeta ~ Executive Director/Conductor
Dr. Planeta holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership as well as Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Violin Performance. She is the Founder and 1st Violinist of the award-winning Atoka String Quartet which provides music for private events in the DC region. Dr. Planeta is also a private instructor of violin/viola at The Catoctin School of Music in Leesburg and Foxcroft School in Middleburg.
Luann Carlson ~ Assistant Conductor
Ms. Carlson teaches viola, viola, and cello at Drum & Strum in Warrenton and Day Violins in Chantilly. She also performs as a first violinist with the Manassas Symphony, Piedmont Symphony, and Atoka Strings. Ms. Carlson loves to see her students progress and achieve their goals, and has seen many of their accomplishments including successful auditions and scholarships.
